The Lutheran Academy Preschool program is designed to ensure a good first school experience for our youngest learners. It is important to maintain a balance between structured learning experiences, structured play, and free play for a well-rounded learning environment for students at varying developmental stages. Students will participate in a range of activities to foster Kindergarten readiness, as well as development of social skills and gross & fine motor skills.
As a Christian school, our religion program for our Preschool students includes Bible stories and songs with an emphasis on life skills and character values.
Our class size is small, not exceeding 10 students, to ensure students have the dedicated attention of the teacher. Students will have opportunities for interaction with the entire student body of The Lutheran Academy.
We offer both full-day and half-day(morning only) Preschool options.
Language arts (letters/sounds/words/writing)
Math skills (numbers/shapes/patterns/sequencing/counting)
The Preschool class takes multiple field trips and invites guests each school year based on weekly themes for the school year. Field trips include places such as a farm, a fire station, a pumpkin patch, and other environmental, historic and cultural sites. Guests range from community helpers to environmental characters such as Woodsy Owl.
Preschoolers participate in several school activities such as the Christmas Program.
